Use case

Master Data Integration Across Systems and Companies

Customers, items and prices get entered in more than one system, and then they drift apart. Rapidi keeps that master data consistent between your ERP, your CRM and every company or database in the group, with no code.

What master data integration covers

Rapidi can be used to control and maintain master and transactional data across your platforms and operations.

Customers and vendors

Customer and vendor records kept in the ERP, synchronised to the CRM so sales works from the same accounts as finance.

Products and prices

Items, item prices and price groups sent from the ERP to the CRM, or from head office out to every site.

Credit and balance

A customer's credit status and balance reach the sales team, so nobody sells to an account finance has put on hold.

Custom objects

Standard and custom objects are both in scope, not only the out-of-the-box ones.

Who it suits

  • The same customer is typed into the ERP and the CRM, and the two versions no longer match.
  • Prices change in the ERP, and the CRM or the stores are still quoting the old ones.
  • Your group runs several companies or databases, each with its own copy of customers and items.
  • Nobody can say which system is right when two records disagree.
  • You want one setup for the whole group, not one integration per entity.

Decide who owns each field

The wiring is the easy part. The harder work is deciding which system owns which field.

  • Field-level ownership. Decide per object which system authors the data, and which only reads a synced copy.
  • Cross-reference IDs. Rapidi's link storage maps each record to its counterpart in the other system, so an update lands on the right record.
  • Conflict rules per object. Set by which system is authoritative for that object, not one rule for the whole system.
  • Direction and frequency per object. Sync both ways or one way, from once a night down to one minute, or triggered the moment a record changes.

Many companies, one setup

One configuration can be reused across entities, countries and databases. That is how master data stays consistent in a group that keeps adding companies.

Nineteen ERP companies, one CRM

QlikTech runs nineteen Microsoft Dynamics NAV companies feeding one Salesforce organisation with 400 users. Accounts, credit status and balance, licence data and invoice numbers flow from NAV into Salesforce.

199 stores, one head office

At REMA 1000, the Rapidi Replicator for Dynamics NAV moves around a million records a day. Products, prices and purchase orders replicate from head office out to the stores.

Master data every 30 minutes

Dutco Tennant synchronises customer and vendor master data, product details, item prices and price groups from Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations to Salesforce every 30 minutes.

Which systems it connects

Ready-made templates for the common pairs, and generic connections for the rest.

ERP and finance

Dynamics 365 Business Central, Finance and Operations, NAV, GP, C5 and Oracle NetSuite. Almost any other ERP, such as SAP or Syspro, connects through the generic interfaces.

CRM and sales

Salesforce, Dynamics 365 Sales and HubSpot, so the sales side works from the ERP's customers, items and prices.

Same system, many databases

Rapidi Replicator keeps Business Central, Finance, NAV and AX databases in step with each other.

Databases and APIs

Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, IBM DB2, Google BigQuery, and any system with a REST or OData interface.

Frequently asked questions

What master data can Rapidi keep in sync?

Customers, vendors, products, item prices and price groups are common examples, along with account data such as credit status and balance. Rapidi supports both standard and custom objects.

Which system should own the customer record?

That is a decision per object and per field, not per system. Decide which system authors each field and which only reads a synced copy, then set the conflict rules to match.

How does Rapidi know which records match?

Rapidi's link storage maps each record to its counterpart in the other system, so an update reaches the matching record.

Can one setup cover several companies or databases?

Yes. One configuration can be reused across entities, countries and databases. QlikTech runs nineteen Dynamics NAV companies into one Salesforce organisation.

How often does master data move?

Both ways or one way, on your schedule: from once a night down to one minute, or triggered the moment a record changes, depending on your plan.

How is this different from data replication?

Data replication keeps several databases of the same Dynamics system in step with each other. Master data integration also covers different systems, such as an ERP and a CRM. Rapidi does both on the same platform.
