AI Skills: How Albert Gets His Expertise
A general AI knows a little about everything. Albert and the background agents need to know integration work in depth, and AI Skills are how that knowledge is written down, organized and loaded when a task needs it.
AI Skills are structured knowledge packages that give Albert and the agents focused expertise. Each skill holds step-by-step instructions, background information and the criteria Albert uses to judge his own answers. Albert loads the skill a task needs from the list available to him, a background agent or the Error Resolver can start with one preloaded, and AI Memory adds what Albert learns about your setup.
- Skills in use today
- Dedicated skills for error troubleshooting, connections and schedules, among others.
- Your own skills
- Available under the service in MyRapidi, depending on your access rights.
- AI Memory
- Available now. Albert keeps your preferences and context between chats.
What is inside an AI Skill?
A skill is written guidance, not code. It tells Albert how to do one kind of job well and how to check that he did.
| Instructions | Step-by-step guidance for the skill's area, such as how to diagnose a failed schedule. |
|---|---|
| Background information | The context and reference material Albert needs to apply the instructions correctly. |
| Evaluation criteria | How Albert judges the quality of his own responses before you see them. |
| Areas | Domain categories that group related skills, so a growing knowledge base stays structured and manageable. |
| Preloading | Albert starts with the list of available skills and loads the one that fits the task. A background agent or the Error Resolver can have a skill preloaded instead, so it starts with exactly the expertise its job needs. |
What does AI Memory add?
Skills carry general expertise. AI Memory carries what is specific to you. Albert keeps a persistent memory across conversations, so you do not repeat yourself, and he builds up an understanding of your setup over time.
| What it remembers | Your preferences and context, such as your name and time zone. Tell Albert once in a chat and he keeps it. |
|---|---|
| Who it applies to | A memory can be scoped to one user, an account, a service or an agent, so the right context reaches the right people. |
| When it loads | Important memories can be set to preload, so Albert starts every conversation with them. |
Can you use Rapidi skills from your own AI tool?
Yes. The Rapidi MCP Server exposes the same skill areas Albert has to AI tools that support the Model Context Protocol, such as Claude. Six areas are available.
| Error troubleshooting | Investigates and resolves transfer errors, schedule failures and sync issues. |
|---|---|
| Transfer configuration | Creates, updates, runs and manages transfers, field mappings and filters. |
| Schedule management | Views, starts, stops and configures integration schedules. |
| Connections | Sets up and troubleshoots connections, for example to Business Central, Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, HubSpot and Salesforce. |
| Data errors report email | Generates and sends formatted digest emails of data errors. |
| AI memory | Stores your preferences and worked examples across conversations, including a search that finds examples by meaning. |
What a connected tool can actually do follows your MyRapidi account permissions, so a user with a restricted role may see fewer functions than an administrator. The full function list is in the MyRapidi wiki, and how to connect a tool is on the Rapidi MCP Server page.

Frequently asked questions
What is an AI Skill in MyRapidi?
An AI Skill is a structured knowledge package that gives Albert focused expertise in one area. It contains instructions, background information and evaluation criteria. Albert loads one when a task needs it, and a background agent can have one preloaded.
Which skills does Albert have today?
Albert has dedicated skills for error troubleshooting, connections and schedules, among others. He loads the one a task needs, and the Error Resolver starts with the error troubleshooting skill already loaded.
Can I write my own skills?
Yes. AI Skills are available under the service in MyRapidi, together with AI Agents, AI Memories and AI Transcripts. What a user can see and change depends on their access rights.
What is the difference between a skill and a memory?
A skill is general expertise, such as how to troubleshoot an error. A memory is context about you, such as your name, time zone or preferences, scoped to a user, account, service or agent.
Do skills need code?
No. A skill is written guidance: instructions, background information and evaluation criteria, organized under Areas.
Can Claude use Rapidi skills?
Yes. Through the Rapidi MCP Server, an MCP-compatible tool such as Claude reaches six skill areas: connections, transfers, schedules, error troubleshooting, error report emails, and AI memory.
Is there a job you want Albert to know inside out?
Tell us the task, and we will show you the skills that already cover it and what a skill built for it would contain.
