Media and Publishing Data Integration
Publishers sell through web shops, print partners and sales teams, and all of it has to end up in the ERP. Rapidi joins the ERP to the CRM and to the other systems in the chain, so orders and invoices move without anyone retyping them.
Why publishers struggle with integration
The same problems come up when a publisher automates part of its process and stops halfway.
- Orders reach a print or fulfilment partner automatically, but the result is keyed into the ERP by hand.
- Invoicing waits on that manual step, which is slow and easy to get wrong.
- Sales works in the CRM without the customer data held in the ERP.
- A large integration platform project ran long, cost a lot and left the team wary of the next one.
- Each new service added to the chain looks like another integration project.
Each gap leaves a person doing work a system should do, and together they undo the saving automation was meant to bring.
Why publishers choose Rapidi
- Decades on these systems. Rapidi has connected Microsoft Dynamics and Salesforce since long before either was in the cloud, including older versions still in use.
- No code. Transfers are configured on screen, so an integration does not become a development project.
- On-premise reachable. An ERP inside your own network is connected without opening inbound ports.
- Built for multi-entity groups. Several companies or databases can run on one setup rather than one integration each.
- Transparent cost. Published pricing, so the budget does not depend on a scoping exercise.
- Support from people who know both systems. An in-house team, not a ticket queue.
What you get out of it
Less manual work
Transfers run on their own, so nobody re-types an order that already exists in another system.
Order to invoice without a gap
Orders, invoices and payments line up between the systems that take them and the ERP that bills them.
Customer data in the CRM
The sales side sees the customer and order history held in the ERP.
Every entity in one place
Companies and databases report into the same picture instead of a spreadsheet each.
Lower build cost
Pre-built templates instead of a bespoke interface written and maintained for you.
Room to grow
Add a company or a system when the business changes, without starting again.
How Rapidi connects your publishing systems
Ready-made templates on a secure cloud platform, joining the ERP that bills the order to the systems that take it.
ERP and finance
Dynamics 365 Business Central, Finance and Operations, NAV, GP, C5 and Oracle NetSuite. Almost any other ERP, such as SAP or Syspro, connects through the generic interfaces.
CRM and sales
Salesforce, Dynamics 365 Sales and HubSpot, so the sales side sees orders and invoice history.
Databases and reporting
Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, IBM DB2 and Google BigQuery, for the reporting layer you already use.
Three steps, no developer
- Connect. Choose the systems you want to integrate.
- Configure. Set up the transfers on screen, field by field.
- Sync. Data moves automatically, in real time or on the schedule you set.
What that looks like in practice
Berling Media is a Stockholm publisher that prints books only once someone has bought them, using the print-on-demand service Publit. Orders reached Publit automatically, but reporting back into Microsoft Dynamics AX and invoicing the customer was done by hand. Rapidi, working with Berling Media's AX partner Accigo, connected Dynamics AX to Publit in six weeks, within scope and on the original budget. It was Berling Media's second Rapidi project. The first connected Salesforce to Dynamics AX and still runs.

What customers say
“Having a reliable integration platform allows us to get the full benefit of our investment in the Publit solution, because it allows us to extend the automation of our business processes to include the invoicing process as well.”
Former Service Manager AX, Berling Media AB
“Digitalization has completely transformed our industry. Today more than ever before, we need to be responsive, effective and offer our customers the best digital experience.”

Frequently asked questions
Which ERP systems can Rapidi connect for a publisher?
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Finance and Operations, Dynamics NAV, Dynamics GP, Dynamics C5 and Oracle NetSuite all have their own connector. Rapidi is flexible enough to integrate Salesforce with almost any other ERP, such as SAP or Syspro, through the REST, OData and ODBC interfaces.
Can Rapidi connect services beyond the ERP and CRM?
Yes. For Berling Media, Rapidi connected Microsoft Dynamics AX to Publit, a print-on-demand service, so orders are reported back and invoiced without manual work. Tell us which service you use and we will tell you whether it fits.
How long does an integration take?
It depends on the systems and the scope. Berling Media's Dynamics AX to Publit integration took six weeks, within scope and on the original budget. An integration consultant will tell you plainly how long yours takes.
How often does the data move?
In real time when a record changes, or on a schedule you set per object: daily, hourly, every 10 minutes, every minute or triggered, depending on the subscription plan. Orders can move as they are raised while customer data syncs overnight.
Can Rapidi reach an ERP that runs on our own servers?
Yes. The RapidiConnector sits inside your network and uses one outbound port, with no fixed IP addresses and no inbound ports to open. Traffic is encrypted with TLS 1.2 or 1.3.
